About Me
Meet Edward - Master Stained Glass Craftsman

True Heritage Glass was founded on experience, patience, and respect for traditional craftsmanship. At the heart of the studio is Edward, a stained glass specialist with over 20 years of hands-on experience working with historic and bespoke stained glass.
Edward’s journey into stained glass began over two decades ago, learning the craft through traditional methods - cutting, painting, leading, and restoring glass by hand. Over the years, he has worked on a wide range of projects, from delicate church restorations to detailed repairs and conservation work on historic windows.
His approach is rooted in understanding the original maker’s intent. Every window tells a story, and Edward believes his role is to preserve that story, not overwrite it.

A Respect for Heritage

Edward specialises in working with:
-
Historic churches and chapels
-
Listed and period buildings
-
Original stained glass windows
-
Traditional lead came construction

He takes the time to carefully assess each piece, identifying age, materials, and condition before recommending the most appropriate solution.

Why Experience Matters

Stained glass cannot be rushed. Poor repairs or incorrect materials can permanently damage historic windows. With over 20 years of experience, Edward understands:

-
Traditional glazing techniques
-
Structural behaviour of leaded panels
-
Correct conservation methods
-
Long-term preservation, not short-term fixes

This experience ensures every project is completed with integrity, care, and lasting quality.
